About the first book
Marked
This book is the first of eight book in the House of Night Series." In this book 16 year old Zoe Redbird is sought out by The Tracker. The Tracker is a vampire who markes a outline of a crescent moon on your forhead. If you are to be marked this means you have to go to the house of night shcool and are going to turn into a vampire and undergo the vigurous four year "change" that some don't survive. But immidietly it is obvious that Zoe is not your regular fledgling. Zoe has had a vision of the Goddess Nyx who told her she would to be granted special powers. Also, Zoe's mark is filled in, which only happens once you have completed the change. And Finally Zoe has a special connection to all five elements(water, fire, air, earth, and spirt) which has never been seen in vampire history. This story follows her journey thorugh school. Whether it's battling with all powerful Aphrodite about the exlculsive Dark Daughters club or avoiding her almost boyfriend Heath, or even watching out for the weird spirits of dead fleadglings that keep following her around. This book is a great take on the vampire genre and sends the readers into a whole new world.
